Humpback whales are thankfully recovering in population in Australia. A Marine animal that I find Graceful and beautiful. Inspiring a sense of harmony & deep connection as I paint the subject. 

For this colour study, I was inspired by Sunset pinks with under colours of dark blues, greens and hints of yellow. Details best seen up close. 

This sunset whale is painted with a Faux marble stone effect.   I love the luxe feeling marble / stone can give to a room and how the stone effect gives a sense of water moving. A perfect background to match the beauty of the humpback whale.
